Special medical fields

My major speciality is the conservative (=non-surgical) treatment of disorders in the movement apparatus, in particular of the spine. When I face a patient with chronic pain, of which he/she has been suffering mostly over years, in the center of my thoughts, words and actions you will find the biopsychosocial diseasemodel. This is one of the rare models that (scientifically proven) allows the therapist to approach to the whole human being and not just to the "back", "neck",...

Beside of pain out of the skeletalsystem I also treat other entities of pain - mainly headache and nervepain, named neuropathic pain.

But also the conservative sports medicin with its treatments (different to pain therapies) and training consultation after sport injuries / overuse belong to my prefered fields. Over the last 19 years I could successfully treat a large number of either sparetime sportsmen / women as well as highperformance or professional sportsmen / women.
